Nicole Thietje is currently the choral director at New Prague High School. She has taught Pre-K - 12 in both Florida and Minnesota. She directs four curricular choirs and three extra curricular groups, including show choir. She also serves as Music Director and Choreographer for NPHS musical theater productions. Outside of NPHS, she directs the Treble Choir (3rd-5th grade) with Northfield Youth Choirs and sings with See Change Treble Choir and the Oratorio Society of Minnesota. She holds an undergraduate degree in Music Performance/Teaching from the University of West Florida and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Music Education with a Choral emphasis from the University of St. Thomas. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and NAfME. Nicole has also won a Regional Emmy® Award for her work on a choral arrangement used on KSTP TV Fox 9 in Minneapolis.
Melanie Kjellberg is the director of choirs at Andover High School, one of five traditional high schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, the largest independent district in Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Arts in Education degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Melanie has been enthusiastically teaching vocal music 28 years. Prior to her tenure at Andover High School, she taught vocal and classroom music at both the middle and high school levels. Melanie has served as the Central/North Central American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) High School Honor Choir Chair, as a Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) All-State Choir Section Coach and Team Lead, as the MMEA Choral Vice President, and as a ACDA-MN 9/10 State Honor Choir Chair. She has been published in several choral journals and is an active member of MMEA, NAfME, and ACDA.
